Humanity has grown in fear
Many millennia passed fighting
Our very survival seemingly staked
Upon success of our struggles
Trials and tribulations served
Inspiration for new technologies
And so too new problems made
The serpent devours it’s own tail
Cyclical motion of spinning wheels
Around and around we go
Each solution offers problems anew
All things though must conclude
Growth must always counter decay
Death we run from inevitably found
A life spent escaping rather than living
Inspired by fear we hide ourselves
