The odds won’t be in your favor
Its a one in a million shot
A blind stab in the dark
It won’t be easy
You will certainly fail
Over and over and over
But nay, that’s not the point
Those with a vision know it so
There is no other way
No escape from what’s seen
What one knows could have been
If only the courage can be found
To try, at least to try
Over and over and over
Regardless of success never found
A good life can be had
In the thrill of the chase
Even if never to feel the catch
The effort to try is noble
So go, run after whichever thing
Sparks itself within your heart
Even if there’s naught hope
Of it ever being so caught
Never stop chasing pigeons
